Khosro Shafaghi is currently working as a Lecturer in Gonabad University of Medical Sciences. He has completed his PhD in Community Nutrition in Universiti Putra Malaysia. His current research interest is on overweight/obesity and dietary patterns in adolescents. He has awarded from the Research & Technology Vice-President of the Ministry of Health on the occasion of successful activities in the project of establishing Gonabad Population Laboratory Center in 2003. He has a good number of publications and attended many International Conferences.

He worked as a surgeon, professor, assistant professor and lecturer in Russia and Israel. Currently retired,lives with his family in the United States.

Time has shown that the results obtained by the author remain relevant and can help in solving this problem.
